Reconstruction based on the early Edo-period Akita J.nosuke katatsuke: reports and discussion

On Monday, November 24, 2014, a research meeting was held at the Sky Hall on the 26th floor of Boissonade Tower, Hosei University Ichigaya Campus. It dealt with issues of reconstruction based on the Akita J.nosuke katatsuke, a libretto with directions for actors’ movements in the hand of Akita J.nosuke Sanesue (1567.1659). Nakatsuka Yukiko reported on a reconstruction of the play Kagetsu. Yanase Chiho read a paper on the use of the term yosei in the katatsuke. The two were joined in a final discussion by the Noh actor Inoue Yoshiaki, who cooperated with Nakatsuka in the reconstruction of Kagetsu. There were 52 participants.
